Chess Player Mohsen Ebrahim Achieves Fourth Place in 48th Austrian Blind Chess Championship


Manama: Bahraini chess player Mohsen Ebrahim participated in the 48th Austrian Blind Chess Championship, organised by the Austrian Chess Federation. Ebrahim, a person with determination, has consistently demonstrated perseverance by taking part in most chess tournaments held in the Kingdom. His participation represents a continuation of his series of tournaments both within Bahrain and abroad, an endeavour supported by the Bahrain Chess Federation.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the championship featured 29 participants from various European countries. Ebrahim entered the competition ranked 18th and competed over the course of nine rounds. He lost in the first and fourth rounds, drew in the sixth and eighth rounds, and achieved five victories. His performance secured him fourth place overall, tying with the tournament’s top seed and defeating the fourth seed.



Ebrahim also received the Best Player Award in the 1500-1700 rating category, in addition to his overall fourth-place finish in the tournament.
