Chad: Chad's Ministry of Health has received more than 1.12 million doses of cholera vaccine from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF to help combat the outbreak spreading in refugee camps in the eastern regions of Sila and Wadi.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Wadi region hosts around half a million displaced people from Sudan, which recorded the world's highest cholera mortality rate last year. A large scale vaccination campaign is scheduled to begin in early September across five eastern regions.
