CBB’s Monthly Issue of Treasury Bills Oversubscribed

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the BD 35 million monthly issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 126%. The treasury bills, with a maturity period of 182 days, are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain. According to Central Bank Of Bahrain, the issue date of these treasury bills is set for 20th September 2026, with a maturity date of 21st March 2027. The weighted average rate of interest for this issue stands at 5.77%, which shows an increase compared to the 5.60% rate of the previous issue dated 23rd August 2026. The average price for the current issue was approximately 97.166%, with the lowest accepted price recorded at 97.104%. This marks issue No. 2139, identified by ISIN BH00051205O4, of the Government Treasury Bills. With this latest issuance, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills now amounts to BD 2.110 billion.
