CBB Sukuk Al Salam Securities Oversubscribed by 225%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the latest monthly issue of the Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by 225%. This significant oversubscription reflects strong investor confidence in the Islamic securities offered by the CBB.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the total subscriptions reached BD 112 million for the BD 50 million issue. The securities carry a maturity period of 91 days. This overwhelming demand demonstrates the robust appeal of the Sukuk Al Salam series among investors.

The issue, which commences on 8th April 2026 and matures on 8th July 2026, is expected to yield a return of 5.31%. This marks an increase from the 4.99% return offered by the previous issue on 11th March 2026. The Sukuk Al Salam securities are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This particular issuance is designated as issue No.300 (BH00015A9292) in the short-term Sukuk Al-Salam series, continuing the CBB's ongoing efforts to provide attractive investment opportunities in the realm of Islamic finance.
