Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the monthly issue of Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by 133%. The total subscriptions amounted to BD 66.407 million for the BD 50 million issue, which has a maturity period of 91 days.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the expected return on the issue, which commenced on September 10 and will mature on December 10, stands at 5.10%. This is a slight decrease from the 5.39% return observed in the previous issue on August 13.
The Sukuk Al Salam securities are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This particular issue is identified as No.293 in the short-term Sukuk Al Salam series, with the identification code BH000P4254L0.
