Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the latest monthly issue of the Sukuk Al-Salam Islamic securities has seen an oversubscription rate of 125%. This significant demand reflects the continued investor interest in these short-term securities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, subscriptions amounting to BD 53.923 million were received for the BD 43 million issue. The securities have a maturity period of 91 days, with an expected return of 5.27%. This return marks a slight increase compared to the 5.20% return of the previous issue dated March 12.
The issuance of the Sukuk Al Salam is conducted by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This particular issuance is known as issue No.288, identified by the code BH000134M945. The issue commenced on April 9 and is set to mature on July 9, continuing the trend of strong investor interest in Bahrain's Islamic financial instruments.
