Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the monthly issue of its short-term Islamic leasing (Ijara) Sukuk has been oversubscribed by 427%. Subscriptions amounting to BD 111.085 million were received for the BD 26 million issue, which comes with a maturity period of 182 days.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the expected return on the issue, which begins on March 6 and will mature on September 4, is set at 5.35%. This marks a slight decrease compared to the 5.40% return of the previous issue dated January 30. The Sukuk Al Ijara is issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This issuance is identified as No.235 (BH0001X411J7) in the series of the short-term Sukuk Al Ijara.
