CBB Sukuk Al Ijara Oversubscribed by 259%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that its latest monthly issue of short-term Islamic leasing (Ijara) Sukuk has been oversubscribed by 259%. The subscriptions received for the BD 26 million issue amounted to BD 67.462 million, showcasing strong investor interest.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the issued Sukuk carry a maturity period of 182 days. The expected return on this issue, which commenced on July 31 and is set to mature on January 29, 2026, is 5.42%. This marks a slight increase from the previous issue on July 1, which had an expected return of 5.35%.

The Sukuk Al Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This issuance is identified as No.240 (BH0004624266) in the series of short-term Sukuk Al Ijara.
