CBB Long Term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk Issue No.2 Oversubscribed by 140%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the second issuance of its Long Term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk has been oversubscribed by 140%. This strong demand indicates significant interest from investors in the Islamic financial instrument.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the issuance is valued at BD 200 million and carries a maturity period of four years. The sukuk started on August 28 and is set to mature on August 28, 2029. It offers an expected profit rate of 5.75% per annum, attracting substantial investor attention.

The Ijara Murabaha Sukuk, issued under the Domestic Sukuk Programme, are managed by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This issuance is designated as issue No.2 (ISIN BH0001030590) in the long-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk series.
