CBB Government Development Bond Issue No.48 Oversubscribed by 104%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the issuance of the 2-year Government Development Bond has been oversubscribed by 104%. The total subscriptions amounted to BD 208.260 million for the BD 200 million issue, which will mature in two years. According to Bahrain News Agency, the fixed annual coupon rate for this bond issue is set at 7.00%. The bonds, which are part of Government Development Bond issue No.48, begin on August 17 and will reach maturity on August 17, 2028. The bonds are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This particular bond, identified with ISIN BH0003756937, signifies continued investor interest and confidence in the financial instruments offered by the government. The oversubscription indicates a robust demand, reflecting trust in Bahrain's economic stability and fiscal policies.
