Manama: The Buraidah International Dates Carnival, the world's largest dates festival and a Guinness World Records holder, opened in the Al Qassim Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the carnival brings together thousands of farmers, traders, and investors, supported by an agricultural sector with more than 11 million palm trees producing a wide range of premium dates, led by the region's renowned Sukkari variety.
Dr. Khaled Al Nuqidan, Chief Executive Officer of the carnival, stated that the event has strengthened its global standing and contributed to enhancing the competitiveness of Saudi dates. The carnival is also creating new export opportunities in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
