BSA Makes First Appearance at COSPAR 2026 in Italy

Manama: Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) participated for the first time in the COSPAR (Committee on Space Research) 2026 Scientific Assembly in Florence, Italy. The biennial event was held from August 1 to 9, alongside more than 3,000 researchers and experts from over 60 countries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Space Engineer Yaqoub Al Qassab represented the agency and presented two research papers developed in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom. The research focused on lunar exploration, digital simulation, rover navigation, drilling, and resource extraction.

COSPAR, established in 1958, is a leading international organization for space research, with its scientific assembly held every two years.
