Dubai: Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council (SDC), and Chairman of the Bahrain Space Agency (BSA), met with Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Space Agency, on the sidelines of Dubai Airshow 2025. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and advance the space domain in both countries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed prospects for collaboration and followed up on current initiatives in satellite and payload design and operation, space research and development, as well as the exchange of expertise in training national cadres. Both sides underscored the importance of expanding strategic partnerships and enhancing cooperation efforts in a way that supports the national goals of both countries, while reinforcing the regional and international standing of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE in the space domain. They commended the positive outcomes achieved to date through this cooperation.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali also met Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the UAE, and several UAE astronauts during his tour to the MBRSC pavilion. He was briefed on current and future projects undertaken by the Centre and received an overview of joint initiatives between MBRSC and BSA, which contribute to enhancing the capabilities of both countries in deep-space exploration.
