BREEF Organises National Day Endurance Championship


Manama: The Bahrain Royal Equestrian And Endurance Federation (BREEF) will hold the National Day Endurance Championship from December 18-20 at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, coinciding with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne and the accompanying national events. The event will feature local and international races over distances from 40 km to 120 km.



According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of BREEF, stated that the championship celebrates national pride, highlights the development of endurance riding, and reinforces values of loyalty and belonging. His Highness added that the Federation will ensure the event meets the highest organisational standards and wished all participants success.



The championship programme over three days is as follows:



– Thursday, December 18: Veterinary checks for horses participating in local races (100 km and 80 km) and international races (100 km and 120 km).



– Friday, December 19: Start of the 120 km international race, 100 km international race, 100 km local race, and 80 km local race.



– Saturday, December 20: Start of the 120 km local race and 40 km local qualifying race, followed by the award ceremony for the 120 km National Day race winners.
