Manama: Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Mulla, a photographer for Bahrain News Agency (BNA), has been awarded the Prime Minister's Journalism Award for Best Photography in its 10th edition. The event was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Mulla expressed his pride in receiving the award and extended his gratitude for the support and recognition provided to the national media by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also conveyed his appreciation to Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, for his ongoing support for photographers and media professionals. Furthermore, he thanked Abdulla Khalil Buhejji, the Director General of BNA, for fostering a supportive and encouraging work environment for media talent.
Al Mulla discussed the winning photograph, explaining that the image captures a significant national moment featuring His Majesty the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, at a military event. He emphasized that winning the award is a recognition of the important role press photography plays in conveying national media messages.
He concluded by stating that the recognition serves as a significant honor and provides an incentive to continue his professional efforts in the field of photography.
