Zhengzhou: The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) participated today in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Media and Think Tank Summit, held in Zhengzhou, China. The summit brought together approximately 400 participants from 26 countries, including media professionals, policy experts, and representatives from governments and regional and international organizations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the forum was organized by Xinhua News Agency, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Henan Provincial Government. It was held under the theme 'Upholding the 'Shanghai Spirit' to Build a More Beautiful Home,' focusing on shared values and cooperation in shaping the media landscape. Discussions centered on the impact of digital transformation on journalism and the role of media and think tanks in advancing stability and sustainable development across the region.
Abdullah Khalil Buhejji, BNA Director General, attended the summit at the invitation of Xinhua News Agency, representing BNA. This participation highlights Bahrain's role as a dialogue partner in the organization since 2023, affirming the Kingdom's stance on regional and international affairs, which is rooted in principles of balance, responsibility, and constructive engagement.
BNA's involvement is part of its broader commitment to international media dialogue and collaboration.
