Manama: The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), in cooperation with the Council of Representatives, announced the launch of the third phase of the "Future Bet" programme tomorrow, offering participants a realistic parliamentary simulation experience.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the new phase builds on earlier stages that included constitutional and legal workshops, leadership and media training, and meetings with ministers and senior officials. It features a comprehensive training program on parliamentary practices, including the role of the legislature, parliamentary tools, and committee work, in addition to field visits to committee halls and plenary sessions.
Participants will also meet Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and attend a weekly session of the Council. The programme concludes with a full parliamentary simulation in the Council chamber, enabling participants to practice decision-making and legislative and oversight tools.
The "Future Bet" programme aims to prepare a politically aware generation, empowering Bahraini youth to engage in decision-making and legislation and fostering constructive dialogue with policymakers.
