BIPD Concludes Workshops for Municipalities Ministry Employees

Manama: The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, concluded two specialised training workshops over two days as part of the year-round National Awareness Programme. The workshops aimed to build the skills and competencies of ministry employees in the municipal sector.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the first workshop, which reviewed the dialogue and communication skills with citizens, was led by Dr. Hooreiya Al Dairi from Ahlia University. It covered key topics such as community dialogue, building public trust, effective communication, and relevant legal frameworks.

The second workshop, which focused on the development of municipal work in the Kingdom, was presented by parliamentary and municipal affairs expert Abdullah Ibrahim Al Dosari. It discussed the history of municipal work in Bahrain, the governing legal framework, current challenges, and the role of municipal councils in improving services and promoting local development.

The organisation of these workshops falls within the ongoing National Awareness Programme, which runs throughout the year and includes awareness initiatives aimed at all segments of society and public sector employees. The goal is to enhance public sector skills and raise awareness about political and legislative developments across Bahraini society.
