BIPD Concludes “Future Bet” Training Programme with Ceremony in Attendance


Manama: Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), attended the closing ceremony of the third “Future Bet” programme. The programme aims to prepare a generation of parliamentary-aware youth by enabling them to gain practical experience in decision-making and legislative bodies, enhancing participation through constructive dialogue with officials, and developing their skills in a suitable environment, to be active contributors to nation-building and achieving the Kingdom’s aspirations in accordance with the constitution and national principles.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Rumaihi affirmed that investing in Bahraini youth is a cornerstone of national development and building a more prosperous future, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which emphasises the role of youth in continuing Bahrain’s developmental journey. He noted that since its establishment, the BIPD has provided Bahraini youth with training and qualification programmes across a range of initiatives, contributing to the consolidation of national political awareness and enhancing their participation in decision-making processes.



Dr. Al Rumaihi thanked Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, for his continued support of the Institute’s programmes under the strategic partnership between the two parties. He also commended the efforts of Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, for supporting the third phase of the programme and providing facilities that contributed to the success of the parliamentary simulation session.



The Chairman also thanked the ministers and senior officials who participated in the programme, emphasising that their presence provided youth with an important opportunity to present their questions and discuss their issues directly. The “Future Bet” programme seeks to enhance national awareness, instil a reformist and constitutional approach, and enable participants to understand the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and link them to Bahrain’s economic vision, while developing their sense of responsibility, teamwork, initiative, and leadership, as well as enhancing dialogue skills and the ability to propose developmental initiatives.



Participants were honoured in recognition of their excellence and commitment throughout the programme, as well as their active engagement, highlighting their promising role in supporting the national journey and contributing effectively to public service.
