Manama: Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), renowned as 'The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East', held two consecutive rounds of the local karting championship over the past weekend, marking the second and third rounds of the 2025/2026 Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC).
According to Bahrain News Agency, Enzo Younes triumphed in the Micro MAX category, while Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqer Al Khalifa and Rakan Alfayez emerged victorious in the Junior MAX and DD2 MAX categories, respectively. Additional winners in round two included Leo Saruhan in the Mini MAX and Demir Abali in the Senior MAX categories. Meanwhile, in round three, Tariq Soofi and Luca Houghton claimed victories in the Mini MAX and Senior MAX categories, respectively.
During the second round, Enzo Younes clinched the Micro MAX final after completing nine laps in 9:22.673. Leo Saruhan secured the Mini MAX final in 9:00.440, just narrowly finishing ahead of competitors Rhys Daulat and Faisal Alnajjar. Shaikh Ahmed achieved victory in the 15-lap Junior MAX final with a time of 13:56.686, while Demir Abali won the Senior MAX final, completing the race in 13:30.910. Rakan Alfayez took the top spot in DD2 MAX, finishing in 13:28.045.
In the third round, Younes once again won the Micro MAX final, completing nine laps in 9:24.272. Tariq Soofi dominated the Mini MAX final with a time of 8:50.328. Shaikh Ahmed maintained his winning streak in the Junior MAX final, finishing in 13:46.370, while Luca Houghton secured victory in the Senior MAX final with a time of 13:28.211. Alfayez repeated his success in the DD2 MAX final, completing the 15 laps in 13:16.031.
The local karting championship comprises eight rounds for the 2025/2026 season. Upcoming rounds are slated for 10 January, 30 January, 13 February, and 28 March, with the final championship round scheduled for 18 April.
