Brussels: Peter De Roover, the Speaker of the Belgian House of Representatives, received Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of Mission-designate to the EU and NATO, at the parliamentary headquarters in Brussels. The two officials discussed strengthening bilateral relations and explored avenues to expand cooperation across various sectors to benefit both nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also addressed regional developments, specifically the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain, the GCC, and Jordan. Discussions further highlighted the global economic and navigational risks posed by Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz, alongside other matters of mutual interest.
