Manama: Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), held a meeting with Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition (IMCTC).
According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi acknowledged the significant role played by the IMCTC in the fight against terrorism. He praised the coalition's efforts in coordinating and unifying the actions of its member states, working in tandem with international initiatives to uphold global security and peace. The meeting also focused on exploring ways to strengthen relationships and cooperation with countries worldwide, aiming to enhance capabilities and facilitate the exchange of international practices, information, and expertise in counter-terrorism.
Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi emphasized the continuous support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the inception of the coalition. He remarked that the IMCTC has emerged as a leading example in addressing extremism and fostering security and stability in the region.
