(Batili) informs (Al-Mangoush) about the political consultations conducted by the mission regarding developments in the political situation in Libya.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, “Naglaa Al-Mangoush,” met today, Wednesday, at the Ministry’s office in the capital, Tripoli, with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Abdullah Batili.”

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Facebook page, “Batili” briefed the minister on the political consultations that the mission is conducting with the Libyan and international parties on the latest developments in the political situation in Libya.

The meeting also touched on the efforts exerted to support holding national elections in Libya to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people to end the transitional stages, according to the same source.

At the end of their meeting, Al-Mangoush and Batili stressed the need to intensify consultations and support all efforts to conduct elections on solid legal foundations and broad consensus among all parties.
