Jakarta:The BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Centre (BAETC) has been granted Part-147 approval by Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This new accreditation allows the center to offer basic aircraft maintenance training to Kuwaiti citizens and residents in categories B1.1 for turbine-powered aircraft and B2 for avionics, along with approved type training for Airbus models such as the A320 and A330.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this accreditation is a significant milestone in BAETC's regional expansion, enhancing its presence in the Kuwaiti market and fostering more collaborations with airlines and civil aviation organizations. It also allows the center to conduct specialized maintenance programs that meet regulatory and industry standards.
The new accreditation builds on BAETC's existing recognition from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), further cementing its role as a leading provider of aircraft engineering and maintenance training in the region. Kuwaiti students and residents now have access to these approved programs at BAETC's facilities in Bahrain.
The training programs aim to broaden career prospects for graduates within Kuwait, Bahrain, and beyond, addressing the demand for skilled technical professionals in the aviation industry. Graduates fulfilling the necessary requirements can pursue opportunities with airlines and maintenance organizations.
BAETC's efforts reflect its dedication to nurturing national and regional talent and enhancing Bahrain-Kuwait cooperation in technical training. These initiatives contribute to the sustainable growth of the regional aviation sector. Registration for BAETC's 2026 training programs is open, with more information available at baetc.org.
