Bahrain’s Parliamentary Division Engages in 31st Arab Scout Conference in Abu Dhabi

Abu dhabi: Bahrain's Parliamentary Division delegation participated in the 31st Arab Scout Conference, hosted by the Emirates Scout Association. The participation underscores Bahrain's dedication to fostering youth engagement and reinforcing its presence in regional and international platforms, aligning with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. This vision emphasizes investing in young people as a core aspect of national development, supported by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the involvement in the conference also follows directives from Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, who highlights the significance of enhancing youth partnerships and parliamentary cooperation in scouting and volunteer work. This effort aims to bolster Bahrain's prominent regional and international standing.

The conference provides a venue for Arab Scout associations to share expertise, present successful experiences, and develop youth work strategies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting collaborative Arab efforts. Key discussions focus on advancing the Arab Scout movement, adopting general policies, electing a new Arab Scout Committee, approving financial and administrative reports, and evaluating youth initiatives. Plans concerning digital transformation, leadership, and innovation in scouting are also explored.

Additionally, the agenda includes proposed amendments to the Constitution of the Arab Scout Organisation and the Arab Scout Region. It also involves determining future conference and camp locations and conducting specialized sessions on sustainability, digital leadership, youth protection, innovative education, and the future of volunteer work in the Arab world.
