Manama:A delegation from Bahrain's Parliamentary Division participated in the 19th Ordinary General Assembly of the Arab Parliamentary Scouts Union, held alongside the conference "The Scouting Movement between Volunteering and Economic Activity."
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini delegation was led by MP Mohammed Jassim Al Alawi and included MP Jalal Kadhem Hasan and Shura Council member Redha Ebrahim Munfaredi. The meeting focused on reviewing the Union's administrative and financial affairs, exploring cooperation and partnership opportunities, and discussing upcoming programs and activities.
The delegation emphasized the support given by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Bahrain's scouting movement, highlighting its role in developing youth capabilities and fostering national values. Additionally, they noted the government's continuous support under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for promoting volunteerism and social responsibility as part of national and youth development efforts.
The General Assembly approved the minutes from its previous meeting held in Morocco last May and reviewed the Union's administrative and financial reports. It also explored partnership initiatives, including agreements with the French Muslim Scouts and the World Islamic Scouts and Youth Union, along with invitations to upcoming Arab scouting events in Qatar and Algeria.
Future activities discussed included a visit to Madinah in November, recognition of the committees involved in the current conference, and preparations for the next General Assembly.
