Baku: Bahrain's parliamentary division delegation participated in the 12th meeting of the Standing Specialised Committee on Cultural Affairs, Legal Affairs and Dialogue of Civilisations and Religions, held on the sidelines of the 20th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States. The delegation emphasized Bahrain's active role in fostering dialogue among civilisations under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation highlighted Bahrain's commitment to promoting peace, coexistence, and dialogue through various initiatives and its historical heritage. They noted that the Kingdom upholds the values of dialogue and promotes the tolerant principles of Islam, aiming to build bridges of communication among different peoples and cultures.
The delegation further stressed the importance of parliamentary cooperation among OIC Member States, advocating for legislation that enhances dialogue among cultures and civilisations. They believe that this approach is crucial for resolving conflicts and ensuring a secure and stable future.
