Bahrain’s MP Participates in Arab Parliament Committee Meeting on Social, Cultural Affairs

Cairo: MP Mamdooh Abbas Al Saleh participated in the Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs, Women and Youth meeting. The meeting was held as part of the third plenary session of the first legislative term of the Arab Parliament in Cairo.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh commended the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts in promoting senior citizens' rights and providing full support for them. He highlighted Bahrain's strong legal framework, government initiatives, and ongoing support under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al Salih outlined key initiatives, including free healthcare, home medical care, fee discounts, social services, and housing support. He also noted Bahrain's efforts to integrate senior citizens into society through national events.

The committee also discussed mechanisms for providing healthcare in conflict zones and explored means to support those affected by wars and crises, reflecting a shared Arab commitment to ensuring care for all.
