Bahrain’s Leadership Engages in Diplomatic and Social Initiatives

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours. The reports highlighted several key diplomatic and social engagements by the country's leadership.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King extended his congratulations to the President of Ireland, with similar sentiments echoed by senior members of the Royal Family and state officials. HRH the Crown Prince, who also serves as Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, hosted an iftar banquet for senior officers from the Ministry of Interior. Furthermore, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister visited Ramadan majlises across the Kingdom and extended congratulations to the President of Ireland.

In other diplomatic moves, the Deputy Prime Minister held a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador, while the Works Minister met with the Egyptian Ambassador. The Foreign Minister took the opportunity to highlight Bahrain's achievements in the realm of human rights.

The Interior Ministry has launched a range of e-services accessible through the MyGov platform. Meanwhile, the Executive and Legislative authorities convened to discuss the state budget for 2025-2026.

The Information Minister and Youth Minister participated in the closing ceremony of the "Bil Bahraini" programme at Heritage Village. The Oil Minister engaged in talks with the Secretary General of the Arab Energy Forum, and the Industry Ministry has set a deadline of June 13 for compliance with digital payment regulations.

The Shura Council Chairman underscored the global impact of the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women's Empowerment. Similarly, the Speaker emphasized the award's role in promoting women's empowerment. Adding to this, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women congratulated HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa on the launch of the award's third edition.

In regional news, the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain received the Ambassador to the UAE. Additionally, Tamkeen announced the extension of employment and wage support to 89 Bahraini employees at Ibn Al Nafees Hospital.
