Manama:Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Bahrain's Minister of Industry and Commerce, chaired the 57th meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee, as part of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, the Secretary General of the GCC. Minister Fakhro expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for supporting the Made in GCC Forum and Exhibition 2026. He also acknowledged the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who officially opened the event.
Minister Fakhro emphasized the significance of the meeting amidst ongoing regional and international changes. He underscored the need to reinforce GCC industrial cooperation and the sector's resilience against various challenges and crises. Recent developments, he noted, highlight the necessity of industrial integration for economic security and crisis response readiness among GCC countries.
The meeting reviewed several agenda items, resulting in the adoption of decisions and recommendations aimed at advancing GCC industrial cooperation. These measures are intended to bolster integration and enhance the competitiveness of the industrial sector on both regional and international levels.
