Bahrain’s Diplomatic Engagements and Regional Initiatives Highlighted in Press Review

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours. The coverage highlighted several diplomatic and regional initiatives involving Bahraini leadership and their interactions with global counterparts. According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King extended congratulations to the President of Algeria and the Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda. Additionally, condolences were offered to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Parallel to these diplomatic gestures, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also conveyed congratulations to the Algerian President and expressed condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. In matters of regional cooperation and diplomacy, HRH the Crown Prince, who is also the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, engaged in discussions with the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Trkiye and the Special Envoy for Syria. Moreover, he met with the Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Stud ies (KFCRIS) alongside several senior GCC and Arab officials participating in the Manama Dialogue. On behalf of HRH the Crown Prince, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad inaugurated the 21st Regional Security Summit known as 'Manama Dialogue 2025'. Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser also marked the 10th anniversary of The King's Trust International with his attendance. In sports, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulated HM the King on the successful hosting of the 3rd Asian Youth Games. Bahrain is also set to compete in the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship in Bangkok, reflecting the nation's commitment to sports and international competitions. Additionally, Riyadh is preparing to host a global senior officers' workshop on international military law. Meanwhile, Bahrain is poised to welcome global leaders at the Gateway Gulf 2025, further establishing its role in regional and international affairs. In the technological domain, Nvidia will supply South Korea with 260,000 AI chips, indicating the ongoing advancements in artific ial intelligence technology.
