Bahrain’s Ambassador in Muscat: HM King’s State Visit to Oman Reflects Deep Historical Relations

Muscat: Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, emphasised that the state visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Oman reflects the historical ties that have existed between the two countries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ambassador described the Bahraini-Omani relations as deeply rooted historical ties established by their forefathers, originating from the civilisations of Dilmun and Majan. These ties encompass strategic, cultural, and commercial relations based on strong mutual bonds and are at their peak under the leadership of His Majesty the King and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.

Regarding foreign policy, the ambassador explained that both countries share common principles, including positive neutrality, good neighbourliness, non-interference in domestic affairs, and the promotion of peaceful dialogue in case of disputes or crises. Both nations work together based on values of balance, moderation, cooperation, dialogue, human coexistence, international collaboration, and sustainable peace.

They are committed to sustainable development, enhancing human rights protection, and preserving the environment, which strengthens the position of both countries regionally and internationally.

The ambassador highlighted that the determination of both leaders to develop their countries' relations enhances cooperation and strengthens historical ties, promising a future filled with aspirations, goals, and a thriving partnership, particularly in the economic sector. This sector is vital for sustainable development in both countries, with agreements and memorandums of understanding being implemented in alignment with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and Oman's Vision 2040.

Ambassador Al Kaabi expressed hope for increased trade exchange between Bahrain and Oman in various developmental domains, bringing prosperity to both nations and their peoples.
