Bahrain’s Active Diplomatic and Development Initiatives Highlighted in Recent Press Review


Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the Crown Prince, who also serves as the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), chaired a meeting of the EDB Board, underscoring the commitment to economic growth and development.



In a series of meetings, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister met with the President and CEO of PGIM, as well as the CEO of PRAMAC Group, who also serves as the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Florence. These meetings focused on strengthening economic and bilateral ties.



On the diplomatic front, the Foreign Affairs Minister met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and participated in the GCC-US Foreign Ministers Joint Ministerial meeting. The Foreign Minister was also involved in the Arab Troika meeting with UN Security Council members, highlighting Bahrain’s active role in international diplomacy.



Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister recognized recipients of the GCC Civil Service Medal, and the Transportation Minister participated in the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport 2025, showcasing Bahrain’s involvement in regional and international initiatives.



The Royal Humanitarian Foundation hosted an orientation for new scholarship students, while the Social Development Minister inaugurated the “Bahraini Hands” exhibition. Government Hospitals received the “Star of Excellence in Patient Experience” Certificate, emphasizing the focus on healthcare quality.



In other developments, the National Institution for Human Rights Chairman praised the edict issued for reviewing special education needs. Bahrain inaugurated its first Bahrain Veterinary Conference and Exhibition 2025, and the Undersecretary for Political Affairs participated in the 18th Ministerial Meeting of the Global Governance Group, as well as the Group of 77, China ministerial meeting.



The Interior Minister engaged with Muharraq residents, and the Housing Ministry announced the delivery of the first units of the Al Naseem project in Salman City. The Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah issued preliminary acceptance notices, and the Royal Medical Services celebrated children’s recovery from cancer.



Finally, the Education and Training Quality Authority awarded the Golden Seal of Quality to 22 public schools. The Civil Service Bureau launched an updated “Government Employee” app, featuring a new performance evaluation service, while BBK joined Fintech Forward 2025 as a Diamond Sponsor.
