Manama: The Executive Office of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism, known as "Bahrainouna," concluded its active participation in Youth City 2030. The event featured an interactive pavilion that offered a variety of programmes, competitions, and workshops, attracting significant engagement from visitors, particularly youth and adolescents.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the pavilion's cultural, recreational, and interactive competitions garnered notable participation. These activities were instrumental in promoting national values and strengthening the concepts of citizenship through innovative methods, such as digital contests, group challenges, and educational workshops.
Major General Mohammed Bin Daina, General Supervisor of the Executive Office, expressed gratitude to General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Follow-up Committee of the National Plan, for his support of the "Bahrainouna" initiatives. He described the initiatives as a "Message of Achievement" that fortifies the plan's objectives through community involvement.
Bin Daina emphasized that Bahrain's youth are crucial to society, representing hope and the promise of a brighter future. They are integral to over 100 initiatives under "Bahrainouna," showcasing their creative ideas and unique talents. He remarked that participation in Youth City 2030 was a testament to their national belonging and commitment to core values.
He noted that this participation marked a new milestone in a series of national initiatives focused on empowering youth and increasing community involvement in instilling national identity and values. He praised the contributions of strategic partners, educational institutions, civil society organizations, and youth clubs, all of whom were pivotal in the success of this national initiative.
Bin Daina also thanked Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, for organizing the national event, along with Al Salam Bank for its continued support of "Bahrainouna" initiatives. He acknowledged the contributions from both public and private sector partners, which helped transform the pavilion into a dynamic space reflecting youth aspirations.
Highlighted activities included the "Our Values are Gold" competition, where participants shared photos and videos expressing national values on social media, with two weekly winners receiving cash prizes. Additionally, the "I Challenge You to Answer" competition saw strong youth participation, with four-member teams competing in knockout rounds, and the first and second place teams awarded cash prizes. For younger participants aged 9 to 14, the "Treasure of the Night" contest focused on enhancing critical thinking and reinforcing citizenship values, with 12 winners receiving cash awards.
In collaboration with the "Basmat Watan" team, "Bahrainouna" organized a cultural competition attended by more than 50 young men and women, fostering teamwork and the promotion of national values in an interactive manner. Furthermore, in partnership with director Jan Al Balooshi, a short film workshop was conducted, resulting in the production of three youth-led films, each creatively depicting a national value through innovative storytelling.
