Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted the exchange of congratulations between HM King of Bahrain and various regional leaders on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. The exchanges included high-profile interactions with the UAE President, Qatar Amir, Amir of Kuwait, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, as well as several princes from Saudi Arabia and Jordan. In addition, HM King received a phone call from the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, who extended his congratulations on the festive occasion.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid praised the royal pardon, highlighting that alternative sentencing beneficiaries have reached 8,278. The Alternative Sentencing Director was featured on the Al Sariyah program in the presence of the Information Minister, further emphasizing this development. Meanwhile, commendations were also extended by the Shura Chairman and the Speaker following the royal pardon of 630 inmates.
