Bahraini Parliamentary Delegation Discusses Cooperation with Pakistan’s National Assembly

Islamabad: As part of the Bahraini parliamentary delegation's visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, led by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, the Bahrain-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Committee held a meeting at the National Assembly in Islamabad. Ahmed Abdulwahed Qarata, Second Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Deputy Head of the delegation, chaired the Bahraini side.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening parliamentary cooperation, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan. The discussions aimed at enhancing economic, trade, agricultural, and technological cooperation, fostering investment opportunities, and increasing private-sector engagement.

Both sides reviewed joint parliamentary efforts, legislative collaboration, and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing shared objectives. The committee emphasized that the visit would contribute to reinforcing bilateral relations, coordinating positions on regional and international matters, and advancing the implementation of agreements within the framework of the joint ministerial committee and business council.
