Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted a series of significant events involving the nation’s leadership over the past 24 hours.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King of Bahrain received expressions of gratitude from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Amir of Kuwait. Additionally, His Majesty extended congratulations to the President of the People’s Republic of China. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness, was also active, chairing the weekly Cabinet Meeting, engaging with a Bahraini writer and journalist, and meeting with Fikra finalists and winners. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister further congratulated the Chinese President and received thanks from the Kuwaiti Amir.
In further developments, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad announced the appointment of His Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser as the Head of Humanitarian Volunteer Initiatives at the Royal Humanitarian Foundation. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman inaugurated the second phase of the Ghaf tree planting initiative.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the significance of the King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, describing it as a pioneering global initiative. Additionally, Bahrain’s ongoing cooperation with Morocco was underscored during the sixth session of the Bahrain-Morocco Joint High Committee in Laayoune, followed by a press conference held by the foreign ministers of both nations.
In other governmental activities, the Finance Minister welcomed the Director General of the International Baccalaureate Organisation, and the Health Minister met with the Chairman of KIMSHEALTH Group. The Justice Minister announced mosque development projects across Bahrain, while the Agriculture Minister reported progress on carbon neutrality and green expansion plans. The Transportation Ministry unveiled sustainability initiatives aligning with the UN Sustainable Transport Decade.
Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, the Royal Guard conducted a graduation ceremony for recruit courses. Meanwhile, Bahrain hosted the 86th meeting of the GCC Central Bank Governors Committee.
