Bahraini Leaders Engage in Diplomatic and Strategic Meetings

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted a series of significant local events that unfolded over the past 24 hours. These events included high-level meetings and engagements involving Bahraini leaders and international counterparts, emphasizing Bahrain's active role in regional and global affairs.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received additional cables from Bahraini families, expressing their loyalty and support. In another notable engagement, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met with the first Bahraini citizen to complete sickle cell treatment, marking a milestone in the country's healthcare achievements.

The Deputy Prime Minister chaired the 304th Ministerial Committee meeting, while the Commander-in-Chief held discussions with the newly appointed GCC Assistant Secretary General for Military Affairs and the US Ambassador. These meetings underscored Bahrain's commitment to strengthening military and diplomatic ties with key partners.

Further diplomatic activities included the Foreign Minister's meeting with his Mauritanian counterpart and the Housing Minister's participation in meetings on the sidelines of the World Urban Forum 13. The Industry Minister highlighted the significance of the GCC-UK trade agreement, reflecting a commitment to strategic partnerships.

In domestic affairs, the Interior Minister reviewed procedures for the Interior Ministry's Hajj mission members, and the Social Development Minister chaired a meeting of the Family Microfinance House Board of Directors. Meanwhile, the Sunni Endowments Chairman announced Eid Al Adha prayer arrangements across Bahrain.

Additionally, Bahrain participated in the 18th General Assembly of the Arab Scout Parliamentarians Union, and the Parliamentary Division took part in a virtual seminar on AI oversight organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union. These participations demonstrate Bahrain's active involvement in regional and international forums.
