Manama: The blatant Israeli aggression against Qatar poses a serious threat to regional stability and undermines peace efforts, stated Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain. His remarks came during a speech delivered at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit, where he highlighted the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip as a backdrop to these tensions.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Sheikh Abdullah emphasized that Qatar, alongside Egypt and the United States, has been actively working towards achieving a permanent ceasefire and the release of hostages and detainees. He called for Arab and Islamic nations to show solidarity with Qatar, urging them to present a unified stance. He also encouraged these countries to intensify their efforts in urging the international community to fulfill its responsibilities towards ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in line with international law and the United Nations Charter.
