Manama: The Bahraini Identity Forum has announced the commencement of accepting research papers and studies, with submissions open until March 31. Scheduled for May, the forum's objective is to foster national belonging, community partnership, cultural heritage preservation, and introduce innovative national initiatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, the Executive Committee Chairman, underscored the forum's commitment to supporting research on national identity. He highlighted that submissions must be in Arabic and should be authored by Bahraini academics, researchers, or university students. The research should focus on themes like cultural heritage, the roles of institutions, and the international promotion of Bahrain's identity.
Al Binkhalil further mentioned that the opportunity is available to Bahrainis aged 21 and above, with a requirement for papers to be original and unpublished. Each researcher is allowed to submit one paper, and group submissions from Bahraini research centers are also welcome, focusing on practical projects and future initiatives.
Applicants are required to complete the submission process through the "Bahrainouna" platform form or via email. Submissions must include a CV, academic details, and contact information, and should be in Word and PDF formats.
All submissions will undergo a scientific review to assess originality, quality, and relevance. The committee holds the right to make necessary editorial changes. Researchers whose papers are accepted will be informed of the presentation details in due course.
The submissions need to adhere to specific criteria, including a word length of 4,000-5,000, proper referencing and documentation, and a 250-word abstract. More information is available at www.bahrainouna.com or through the dedicated email provided.
