Rabat: Bahrain's parliamentary division delegation, led by Redha Ibrahim Monfaredi, held a meeting with senior officials from the Moroccan House of Councillors and House of Representatives on the sidelines of the 18th General Assembly of the Arab Parliamentarians Scout Union, hosted by Morocco. Monfaredi affirmed that Bahraini-Moroccan ties continue to advance across all domains under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Monfaredi highlighted the high-level coordination and cooperation between the two countries, reflecting the depth of the historical ties and enduring partnership between the two kingdoms. He commended the advanced level of parliamentary cooperation, exchange of expertise, and coordination at regional and international forums. Monfaredi conveyed the greetings of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, affirming support for bilateral projects and joint parliamentary cooperation.
The meeting also witnessed Monfaredi expressing pride in the strength of Bahraini-Moroccan ties, commending the shared interest in advancing parliamentary cooperation, and wishing Morocco and its people continued progress and prosperity. Participants in the assembly unanimously approved Bahrain's request for the Arab Parliamentarians Scout Union to issue a statement condemning the Iranian attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf states, and Jordan. The statement emphasized the importance of regional security and stability and support for measures safeguarding Bahrain's sovereignty.
On the sidelines of the assembly, the delegation attended part of the sessions of Morocco's House of Councillors. The meeting reviewed the union's administrative and financial reports for 2026 and discussed several upcoming programmes, activities, and events organized by the Arab Parliamentarians Scout Union.
