Moscow: In a bid to bolster international cooperation in the realm of human rights, Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights, engaged in discussions with Tatyana Moskalkova, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, during an official visit to Moscow.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting revolved around exchanging expertise and best practices in human rights protection and promotion, with a focus on issues of mutual interest affecting citizens of both countries.
The discussions highlighted the potential for enhanced bilateral cooperation between the national human rights institutions of Bahrain and Russia. Key areas identified for collaboration included training, capacity building, and information exchange, aiming to strengthen the effectiveness of these institutions in safeguarding fundamental rights and freedoms.
The meeting concluded with Moskalkova extending an official invitation to Alderazi to attend the upcoming International Scientific and Practical Conference on the Challenges of Human Rights Protection in the Eurasian Region, set to take place in Moscow in October.
