Bahraini and Omani Housing Ministers Discuss Urban Development Cooperation

Muscat: Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of Bahrain, met with Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shueili, her Omani counterpart, during the Urban Planning, Housing, and Construction Exhibition and Conference in Muscat. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and sharing expertise in sustainable urban development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Rumaihi praised the Omani Ministry's efforts to expand housing services and implement significant housing projects. She acknowledged the progress achieved and extended her congratulations to Dr. Al Shueili for successfully organizing the conference and exhibition, which facilitated valuable discussions supporting the development of housing initiatives.

Al Rumaihi also highlighted the Sultan Haitham City project, recognizing it as a landmark initiative that demonstrates Oman's comprehensive approach to sustainable urban development, aligned with Oman Vision 2040.

Dr. Al Shueili expressed his appreciation for Bahrain's participation in the event and commended the Kingdom's efforts in developing urban planning policies and innovative housing solutions. He emphasized the shared commitment between the two countries to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise to enhance housing services and projects following international best practices.
