Bahrain Youth Basketball Team Clinches Arab Championship in Tunisia

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain's national Under-18 basketball team has won the Arab Championship for national teams, hosted in the Republic of Tunisia, after defeating the Arab Republic of Egypt 85-73 in the final. This victory marks a significant achievement for Bahraini basketball on the Arab stage.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the team showcased strong technical performances throughout the tournament, culminating in their well-deserved title win. This success highlights the ongoing progress of Bahraini basketball at the youth level. It is the second Arab title in the history of Bahraini basketball, following last year's triumph by the youth team in Egypt. This achievement reflects the successful technical vision of the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) and its consistent investment in developing and nurturing national talent.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the BBA, noted that this title is the result of robust support from leadership and the dedicated attention of the sporting leadership, which has been evident in the positive outcomes of national teams. He also acknowledged the support of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, for his special interest in basketball and his close involvement in all its affairs.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed praised the players' performance throughout the tournament and expressed appreciation for the efforts of the technical and administrative staff in preparing the team effectively.
