Bahrain Volleyball Teams Exit Asian Youth Games Early

Manama: Bahrain’s boys’ volleyball team bowed out of the 3rd Asian Youth Games after falling to Mongolia 3-1 in their second group-stage match, held at the Bahrain Volleyball Association Hall in the Isa bin Rashid Sports Complex. Despite showing flashes of strong play, particularly in the middle sets, the national side was undone by costly errors in key moments, allowing the Mongolian team to take control and claim the win.

According to Bahrain News Agency, with the result, Bahrain concludes its group-stage campaign and will now turn its focus to classification matches. The coaching staff is expected to use the remaining fixtures to fine-tune performance and build experience ahead of future competitions, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s youth volleyball programmes.

In the girls’ event, Bahrain’s team lost to Qatar in straight sets. Meanwhile, in beach volleyball, the Bahraini pair of Karrar Yaqoob and Hussain Al Warga were defeated by Indonesia and Thailand, while Layan Majid and Mai Falah lost their matches against Jordan and Thailand in games played at Sama Beach.
