Bahrain to Host 2025 Arab Basketball Championship Under Patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid

Manama: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain is set to host the 26th edition of the Arab Basketball Championship in 2025. The tournament will be held from July 25 to August 2, following Tunisia's withdrawal from hosting duties.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Alaa Modara, President of the Bahrain Basketball Association, expressed gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for his patronage and continuous support for basketball. He noted that this sponsorship is a significant motivation to work diligently towards ensuring the success of this prominent Arab event.

Modara emphasized that hosting the championship aligns with HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's vision to position Bahrain as a leading destination for regional and international sports events. He pointed out that HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's backing is crucial to Bahrain's sports achievements and its rising profile in both the Arab world and internationally.

He also acknowledged the confidence shown by the Arab Basketball Federation in selecting Bahrain to host the championship on short notice, underscoring the Kingdom's strong reputation for organizing major sports events.
