Bahrain Tennis Federation Honored with ITF and ATF Awards


Manama: The Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) has been recognized with prestigious awards from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) for its significant achievements in player development and tournament organization.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the BTF was awarded the ITF Award for best federation in player development and tournament hosting and organization. Additionally, it received the ATF Award for best federation in player development and tournament hosting and organization in West Asia. These accolades were presented to Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, BTF President, by Bulat Utemuratov, ITF Vice President, and Yuriy Polsky, ATF President, at a ceremony held during the ATF Annual General Meeting in Kazakhstan.



Shaikh Abdulaziz expressed that these awards are a testament to the progress of Bahraini tennis and the international acknowledgment of the federation’s efforts to promote the sport. He credited the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), for this achievement.



He further noted that the federation has strengthened its reputation by hosting major international tournaments and implementing programs aimed at developing local talent and enhancing participation in regional and global competitions.
