Bahrain Team Achieves 41 Medals at 4th GCC Games

Doha: The Kingdom of Bahrain continued its performance at the 4th Gulf Cooperation Council Games, held in Doha, on the fourth day of competition, increasing its total medal tally to 41 medals, including 8 gold, 8 silver, and 2 bronze on the day.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in shooting, Bahrain won gold in the women's 10m air rifle team event and silver in the men's 10m air rifle. It also secured silver in the women's skeet team event and silver in the individual skeet competition.

In swimming, Bahrain won two gold medals and one silver, with records set in the competition. In athletics, Bahrain secured two gold medals and two silver medals across the 400m, 10,000m, relay, and hurdles events.

The handball team opened its campaign with a 30-21 victory over Kuwait. In billiards, Bahrain won two bronze medals in the 9-ball event. In snooker, athletes qualified for the quarter-finals. In table tennis, athletes also reached the quarter-finals. In fencing, Bahrain won a silver medal in the team foil event.

In equestrian show jumping, Bahrain did not achieve podium finishes. Bahrain's participation continues into the fifth day of the Games, with competitions in athletics, table tennis, padel, volleyball, shooting, and snooker.
