Sakhir: Bahrain Teachers College, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, conducted its 14th graduation ceremony at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall, University of Bahrain (UoB). The event marked the graduation of 332 students.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees. Dr. Juma expressed appreciation for the support extended to Bahrain's education sector by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He acknowledged the efforts of the ministry and university in enhancing the college's programmes through international partnerships and best practices. He congratulated the graduates and their families, as well as the college's staff, and noted the World Bank's recognition of the college as a global model in teacher training.
Nawal Ibrahim Al Khater, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education and Chairperson of the College Board, expressed pride in the new cohort of teachers ready to educate future generations. She acknowledged the college's role in developing students' skills and values of commitment and service.
Dr. Lucy Bailey, Dean of the Bahrain Teachers College, expressed gratitude to the ministry and college board for their support and congratulated the graduates on their entry into the teaching profession. She praised their academic achievements and perseverance.
The ceremony concluded with Dr. Juma awarding certificates to graduates of the Master's in Educational Leadership from Boston University, higher diplomas in educational leadership, special education, and education, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Education.
