Bahrain Supports Quartet’s Call for Peaceful Resolution in Sudan


Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has extended its welcome to the Quartet’s statement, which emphasizes support for a peaceful resolution in the Republic of Sudan. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs underscored the importance of preserving Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity while enhancing regional peace, security, and stability.



According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Ministry expressed Bahrain’s support and appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America. These countries are actively working to bring an end to the ongoing conflict in Sudan. The Ministry called on the conflicting parties to establish a humanitarian truce, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and protect civilians and infrastructure.



Furthermore, the Ministry urged all parties to engage in negotiations based on the terms outlined in the “Jeddah Declaration” and relevant international resolutions and conventions. This approach aims to fulfill the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace, stability, and sustainable prosperity.
